It’s someone’s birthday today!

Okay, let’s do this math together. If there are roughly 6.5 billion people on the planet (ignoring the fact for the moment that this hiving mass of humanity is just one fragment of the magnificent Son of God), and there are 365 days in a year, that means, uh, er, ah… (reaches for fancy HP calculator from finance days at college with tons more functions than he knows how to use) that each and every day of the year nearly 18 million people are celebrating their birthday. Maybe, just maybe, you’re one of them! Or maybe you know one of them. Or maybe you know someone who knows… you get the picture.

Now, what do we really want to celebrate on this particular day when our decision-maker decided to slip in the video of ‘our life’ and kick back to watch the specialness pyrotechnics set into motion? Well, we could celebrate remembering that we have no real birth date as such… After all, the Infinite can neither be born nor die, right? We always were, and always will be. Period. But that’s maybe getting a tad metaphysical for this page. Maybe we could just celebrate the fact that we’ve found our way to this remarkable spiritual philosophy that teaches us that every day can be our birthday, like, “I could see birthday-like joyfulness instead of this?” Or maybe we can just practice letting go today and knowing that we can cut ourselves some slack and just for one teensy little day not give ourselves quite such a hard time – over anything! Or at the very least, maybe we can invite the guy with the beard and sandals and peaceful eyes to raise a glass with us in honor of the Son of God we belong to…

Any reason is good enough to celebrate today. And I think you are a good reason.

Please feel that this page is celebrating you, in all your continued questioning and striving, your hopes for bringing this message further into your heart, the hope that your heart will welcome the message of God’s Love just a little more each day when it feels its soft approach.

So, maybe we have to wait a few days still for your birthday. But today we can still celebrate because it’s someone’s birthday, and that lucky, wonderful person is: Anne!!

  1. Nina says:

    it’s oct.22nd

  2. Pam says:

Winnie do you want to help decorate? Nina what kind of cake do you want? I brought a case of Catch-a-Bubble in all the different colored test tubes for starters.

Nice video of Monica, Bernard. I can’t understand the words but she has a beautiful sounding voice.

  3. Nina says:

mmm cake – since it is virtual, why not fresh strawberries from the Village ( otherwise I cant eat strawberries bca allergy
    and a choir – ? 🙂
Pam, the lyrics to Monica’s “waltz for Debbie” is posted a bit back in the Birthday gallery

  4. Pam says:

Okay Strawberry short cakes with fresh whipped cream. I am confused I thought the waltz for Debbie was a a group of two women and two or three men and it was sung in English but now the Video is gone but a new video which I assumed is for you is at the top of the page and is (I assume) sung in either Norwegian or German.

  5. winnie says:

oh boy Strawberry Shortcake ..good on you Pammy…. I`ve got some balloons specially made in the shape of the crazy-wise characters. They dont need stringing up coz they know their place….{tee hee}…. but watch out for if the mood takes them, they might just float on down when least expected and with a poof and a puff pop open releasing thousands of tiny wishes of joy for our dear Nina…

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY to YOU !

  6. Pam says:

I found some lanterns in the shapes of teddy bears and butterflies also. and I brought some little balls with jingly bells and catnip for Rufus to play with.

  7. bernard says:

It’s birthday time – Happy Birthday, Nina! The theme today is strawberries, daisies (wild and gerbera colored variety), choirs, bubbles and catnip! Have a good time, everyone!

  8. Lisi says:

Nina, I brought some hot red wine I made with your recipe for tomorrow´s toast. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

  9. a says:

    Nina dear –
Many happy returns of the day, and lots of love. I hope you like Reggae music, my wife’s computer has Reggae playing as I write this message, so I’m in a tropical and island mood – Bahamas, Mauritius, Fiji – it’s warm, pleasantly so, beaches white, emerald blue-green clear water, and the open horizens of the ocean all around us.
    love,
    a

  10. Michele says:

    {{{{{HAPPY BIRTHDAY NINA}}}}}

I remember you like pink champagne and the one of the finest is Billecart Salmon Rose. So we’ll be sure to have some of that for your party.
    xoxoxox Michele

  11. katrina says:

Hey, there, Nina — Happy Birthday!!! I hope you see bright green, pink and yellow Auroras tonight showing how far our wishes encircle you with Love and tenderness. You really keep our Village going and we are so grateful for you here.

Love and three bear hugs, katrina

  12. Annie says:

Nina glad we learned of your birthday in the nik of time! We’ve depended on you to keep us posted of everyone elses special day and here we almost missed yours. But Not! The party is already starting in the East (nice anil) and hot red wine for breakfast (Not what you had in mind Lisi …just testing) mmmm warms the tummy and spirit. But if I start with hot red wine I won’t be able to switch to anything else. Guess I’ll be drinking that all day and singing and dancing as we should!

A toast to our lovely Nina. Wishing you much joy and happiness today. Grateful for my friend in Norge and her constant tending of this garden of souls. You bring us much love, laughter and beauty with your words, your collection of poetry, wealth of knowledge and resources. But mostly with your daily presence and devotion to the process and single minded focus to know the Truth and to share that Truth with us. We really will reach home together with arms locked and that will be our true Birthday.

    To Nina!

    Cheers and Many More (:

  13. bernard says:

Last minute additions to the Gallery. I’m not sure if Anil’s wishes of tropical paradise work well together with the hot glühwein, but it’s fun trying! Thanks for the pink champagne, Lisi.

  14. a says:

    Bernard bro –

Tropical paradise was my state of mind when I wrote out that greeting to Nina, with the Marley music in the background, but and hopefully Nina likes that, but whereever she hosts her party, I will gladly attend in any setting (:

ps. Nina, did I tell you my wife lived in Norway for a year ? (:

  15. Pam says:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Roses for you dear {{{Nina}}} —}–@ —}–@ and this being an illusion we can mix and match themes and climates as we please. I brought some breakfast items bagels and cream cheese, orange marmalade, scrambled eggs, little smokie sausages, papaya, mangoe and pineapple.

  16. Bernard says:

Whoa, Pam, I’m hangin’ out with you today. Great grub!

  17. Leni Roman says:

Just in time to join the chorus for a happy birthday as Nina blows the candles on her strawberry cake. Happy Birthday Nina!!!

  18. Nina says:

Oh my, what a celebration! bernard, the pictures in the gallery were perfect – and so were the choirs – i sung in several from 6 – 25 years old(then i got a bass instead of a soprano) expl. for Pam: I screwed up the first english Waltz for Debbi with the english singers, cause i wanted monica to sing it. I know i do lots of confusing stuff. I loved your food: i had it for dinner instead. perfect combo. And ROSES who I love. My favorites.Pam, I am very touched by all your signs of care and love.
Winnie, the idea of the Crazy-wise as balloons – awesome. Got a lot out of that. That might be a new story too. SOO appreciated.
    – I felt supercrummy the whole day – including a visit to my nice doctor(who likes me a lot) for a new blood test for the crappy hyperthyroidism – BUT he smiled me a happy birthday and gave me quick neck-massage as present 🙂 and then i came home and read your greetings and bernard, you have remembered EVERYTHING I ever said I loved. Amazing and so very moving.
Michele, I loved that you remembered the pink champagne party at the Monastery. Sniff. Lisi, you had some delicious twist with the red gluh-wine. Nice!! Annie, warm hugs for the lovely warm words and greetings – and swooning with reggae -music sent from dear Anil ( I in fact like your jokes) – and just now looking out on a cool dark sky, looking for Aurora Borealis, which I 3 times in my whole life have experienced here in the middle-south of Norway. Oh, wouldn’t that be something if <i saw it tonight! (peeps out at the dark sky – still nothing…)
and then the surprise: a voice long time not heard – maybe the first time in the <village? {{{Leni}}} – I have missed you and thought of you often – really treasure hearing from you.
    {{{Village}}}

  19. DonnaD says:

A glorious day to you, dear Nina. I see that everyone has so very lovingly brought everything you have ever loved to your party that there is nothing more I can add except to say that for you I bring angels singing, flowers dancing and all the love and warm hugs a body (and mind) can handle. You are loved and very much appreciated, dear lady. Peace and serenity to you. Love, DD.

  20. Nina says:

Want to share something that happened today – and post it here, since it is a gift-
I have for a while known that I do need to get away from home from a while, to a rehab or a retreat. Have wanted to find a Monastery – and today I think I have found the place.
I went to my doctor today for that blood test – and also to ask him apply for a rehab-stay for me. I also mentioned that what i really would love would be to go to Assisi on retreat. He immediately says firmly and insistingly that he really thinks I should go to Assisi. That is kinda strange thing to say for a doctor, so i noticed it 🙂
In the evening, I googled “Retreat Assisi” and the first hit I got made me shiver. It was lead by Bruce and Ruth Davies. Bruce has written a wonderful book: “The heart of healing” which I read in the 70-ies – and he had just got A Course in Miracles, and used it as a Source of wisdom in his life. He posed questions, and opened the Course, and always found the answer.
This book, which I have read so many times ( a true story about love and healing) made me think about buying the Course myself.
Some years after having written the book, I found a new book by him – “Monastery without walls” – and I adored that too.
Now he and his wife has this retreat-center just outside Assisi. This is where i will go.
And: his wife teaches a form of moving meditation/sacred movements – when i see the little video, I see how much it resembles how I work with movement and spirituality.
In my tired condition. I find the logistics of planning how to get there and everything needed to go, a bit overwhelming. Then I remembered a Catholic Hospice in Oslo, called The Fransiscus-help, a hospice which I have donated hospice-videos too, that my friends Stephen and Ondrea Levine gave to me many years ago. I found a beautiful rapport with the leader of the Hospice, and she told me that they go to Assisi once a year.
So I just mailed her and asked if she possibly could assist me in the logistics for the journey…
it really seems that this lies in my so-called future –
and I hope not so far from now –

  21. winnie says:

    Nina that`s a wonderful idea !
As we take down the decorations from your party, it becomes clear that it was also a celebration of this new journey beckoning you…….

Oh Leni dear it is a real treat to see your beautiful blue butterfly again! I have been thinking of you lately and missing you……Hope is well with you… big hugs darlin` xoxoxoox

  22. Pam says:

Oh Nina that sounds so wonderful.

  23. Lisi says:

Nina, really great! And a wonderful gift for you today.

    Much love,

    Lisi

  24. katrina says:

Nina, if the Aurora Borealis doesn’t appear in the sky for your eyes, it sounds like the anticipation of a regenerating retreat along with the loving thoughts of your friends are the light forms flowing over your birthday.

I like the hot spiced wine while sitting by the pale green sea. The sand is just the place to be when the glasses tip, as they do. I love the world round day making the celebration last longer.

  25. Nina says:

you guys are so giving. I overflow right now. Katrina, that thought was awesome: it sounds like the anticipation of a regenerating retreat along with the loving thoughts of your friends are the light forms flowing over your birthday.

    T H A N K Y O U A L L
    I love you so much!

  26. Michele says:

Nina~ What lovely gifts unfolding for you!! The butterfly effect of your staying there will undoubtedly be profound. goes off to google the Assisi retreat place.

  27. Pam says:

Hum diddy dee… A keg of ForGuinness. Check. Catnip and chewsticks for Pumpkin and Athos. Check. Mayorish top hat lanterns. Check. hummm what kind of cake???? taps forehead with fingers like Winnie the Pooh think ,think , think…Ahhh forget cake it don’t have to be cake – PIE! Birthday pies. Pecan Pies. Remember him saying they don’t do pecan pie in France… goes off to bake pies for tomorrow.

  28. winnie says:

oh boy i love pecan pie !

    { hangs up streamers and a pinata in the shape of a sock..teehee}

Hmm a glass o` Guinness`ll be just the thing while i make a special black satin Mayoral Top Hat for the guest of honour…..

  29. bernard says:

“Happy Birdie to me, happy birdie to me…”

I walked into the Tavern this morning and lo! look at all the wonderful goodies the villagers offered me! Many, many thanks for your birthday gifts, everyone! Pies, pies and more pies. Pam, you’re gonnna laugh – Pat asked me what cake I wanted and I flicked through the recipe book and I landed on an apple caramel pie! So we whipped that up together last night… Crusty crust, fresh apples, 200 g sugar cooked into a caramel, then add 200 ml of liquid cream, then 3 beaten eggs. So rich! Join in, everyone. It’s not light, but very delish! Winnie – not sure what a pinata is, but I found this on the internet. The white sock – hmm, can’t work out what that’s for…

I put in the photo of yellowstone park. I pretended that some of us villagers hiked up to this spot this morning and we sat watching the sun rise with a cup of hot tea steaming in our hands. We made a camp fire too and wrapped up in warm blankets (eiderdown for extra cosy warmth) waiting for the dawn. We chatted and laughed, then sat silent for quite some time just taking in the magnificent quiet. Then finally the day came, brightening more and more in the east. The sun burst over the mountain top in a blaze of light, chasing away the darkness and throwing the cascading range of mountains into crisp relief. As the morning warmed, we set to making a camp breakfast of all the fresh pies and muffins everyone had made the night before. We lined up the Italian espresso makers and the tea kettle on the fire and there was peppermint tea and coffee for everyone. And then we sat and read a lovely prayer together… Ahhh.

  30. Pam says:

Oh My Gosh! and then the laughter. Love the woo. Birthday HUGS and roses for you —}–@ —}–@ . Lisi is the most qualified to explain what a Pinata is (or is that an inside joke also like the sock??).

    Gotta go back later.

  31. Nina says:

Bernard, I am so sad I missed your birthday -I had written it up and all that – anybody worth a huge party it is you! Anyway, here are l o n g and l o v i n g arms all the way from the cold North wrapping around you and wishing you thousand great smiles today. You mean so much to me – like a Village-Father, caring about his Villagers with tenderness and giving us so many opportunities to play and learn.
(I did not know it was possible for us to put images here – thought hey had to be sent to you – have I missed something?)

  32. Lisi says:

Oh {{{{{Bernard}}}}} HAPPPY, HAPPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Thanks for the description of the morning party I was completely immersed in it. And wow, the pies!!! all were delicious. And…the company just perfect and loving and great.

And about the piñata, yes, I can explain it. It is a big kind of vase, a round one, that you decorate with thin, colorful paper and make different shapes. Then put inside fruit and candy and different goodies and in the previous days to Christmas you have parties named Posadas in which all the participants, mainly children, with a stick, also decorated, hit the piñata until it breaks and in that moment all the children around try to pick as much as they can from the goodies from the piñata. It is a very old tradition in Mexico, a centuries one.

Big fat hugs for Bernard and all of you.

    Much love, lisi

  33. Annie says:

I just know all is right…

    speachless right now…

    enjoying the sun and expresso.

Will sing my birthday wishes to you after you break open the Pinata (:
How perfect that Lisi can explain and write pinata with the little wave over the ‘n’

    Smile God Loves You

  34. katrina says:

Happy Birthday, Bernard! I’m watching the sunrise with you at Yellowstone, munching carmel appple pie with crunchy crunchy crust, and sipping tea. Yum, yum. Perfect party fun. Pinata was hung very high to avoid attracting the Yellowstone bears. No fears here, anyway!

Warm Hugs to you and Pat! Love, katrina

  35. Leni Roman says:

    Bernard,

Big, big birthday hugs to you. You are a gift.

    Love, Leni

  36. DonnaD says:

    Bernard ♥♫☼♪♫♪♥ Hugs, D.

  37. bernard says:

Many thanks to all of you for making this a great birthday! Thanks to Nina, Donna, Leni, Annie, Lisi, Pam, Katrina, Winnie… Love you all! Just loved the idea of the pinata! Pam, you remembered the ForGuiness picture! Seems like it’s coming from years away now…

So we all had a lovely morning on the mountain at Yellowstone, then wandered back down the hill during the warm afternoon, stopping for a sumptuous picnic lunch beside a babbling stream, eating on checkered blankets laid on the thick wild grass. We took off our socks and shoes and paddled in the clear pools of fresh water, then continued down the path that wound through a stand of tall pines. Finally we entered the long sloping valley at the bottom of which is nestled our Village. As we strolled onto the cobbled path that then became the high road, we entered the Village Square and finally came to a stop at the terrace of the Tavern. In the fading light of the day, as the setting sun cast a hue of deep pink over the sky, we enjoyed a final beverage together and chatted quietly about life, love and miracles, before warmly bidding each other a good night and making our way each of us back to our cottages. Thanks for being with me. It was a wonderful day.

  38. Nina says:

And now, somebody, please teach me how to post images on the Birthday-site

  39. Pam says:

Nina I think Bernard posted the pictures himself. When he referred to me remembering the “forguinness” picture it isn’t the one at the top of the page he is talking about but the one “eons” ago at the monastery.

If I got this wrong please correct.

  40. winnie says:

Oh there once was a Mayor known as Bernard
who of course was considered quite learned

    but alas his big eyes
    could not resist pies

There`s never enough ! he murmured.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY dearest Bernard !

and thank you for a particularly lovely birthday in Yellowstone Park. I even caught a glimpse of Yogi Bear…i`m sure it was he, `ceptin he musta left his hat and tie at home….

    {hugs everyone and strolls on home to Wildflower Cottage just as the first stars come out}

  41. a says:

    Hi Bernard dear friend –
Happy happy birthday. Looks like I’m a day late and a dollar short (:, but please to forgive… & just so i can try to remember for next year ? is the date the 26th ? the 27th ? the 25th ? I’m all confused with the different time-stamps (:
    hugs, my brother,
    a

  42. Pam says:

Help. According to Annie it is Anne’s birthday tomorrow and other than low carb I don’t know what to do. What theme to decorate with? Texan? Canadian? Nursing? Other?

  43. Annie says:

Here I am Pam…ready to help. It’s all about “Wicked” The musical and a little splattering of Oz. It’s about music, laughter and and and hitting the big 50! She taking a little vacation, a drive to Arkansas, to see the play Wicked. I promised her backstage passes with the cast and crew. I love how we can give the most awesome gifts here in cyberspace. Actually, I think Anne is very simple and easy to please. The regular spread of all things yummy with a low carb twist is so doable; I’ve picked up the bouquets of fruit to use as centerpieces for all the tables. The chocolate fountain is up and working for those not counting calories. The other fountain is one of Anne’s favourite beverages ‘Monster’ Energy drink we can add a bit of soda and make it into a spritzer. That should keep us dancing into the night 🙂

  44. winnie says:

    {hangs up the party lights and blows up 50 balloons}
Our Anne loves Spam so I`m making a big batch of Spam fritters [using low-carb fritter mix of course} for the birthday breakfast.

    {leaves a huge bunch of poppies wrapped with a big yellow satin ribbon and a card that says “Happy birthday to Anne of the beautiful dimples and awesome multi-talents…. I hope this year is the best year ever!…. love always winwin xoxoxooxox”}

    Let`s dance !

  45. Bernard says:

We have Birthday Action!! Have a great day, Anne! We have most of everyone’s party wishes for you, although I couldn’t get in Winnie’s 50 balloons. Just have a drink and you’ll soon see loooots more balloons. Don’t know how that Mountie got in there – he came uninvited when he heard it was yer birthday. And then there’s this fella who wanted to remain anonymous and only wanted us to see his poppy lapel. BTW that’s a special low-cal pumpkin and praline pie. And plenty of Spaaaaammmm for everyone – dig in!! Oh so yum. (big berk) And then of course there’s your favorite show, Wicked, with two back stage passes that Annie managed to get for you. Enjoy!

  46. Bernard says:

OMG! I just noticed this chick in the pink wig. How did Annie get in there, together with DH Mark? And their dog???? Well, the Holy Spirit HAS been busy today.

  47. Lisi says:

Oh, how beautiful is the Fireside today!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNE!!! Lots of hugs, a big bunch of flowers, and my best wishes for you my dear friend.

And now to enjoy together all this fabulous food, and, of course, the wicked show.

    Much love,

    Lisi

  48. Annie says:

Everyone really did such a fab job! It’s amazing how the Village really takes on the Birthday persons persona and reflects their inner joy and appreciation for all they have deemed to call good. It truly is a joy to put aside our preferences for a little while and enjoy those things that pierce the veil for another.

So to our Birthday Celebrant ‘TexAnnCan’ ( I have a hard time letting go of that name it really says it all…the Can is for ‘Can Do’ ) I don’t think I’ve met anyone with your energy, enthusiasm, quick wit and sweet heart. You are a beautiful force to encounter and a grounding soul to have in ones life. May todays theatre performance transport you up that double helix ladder into pure joy.

To my surprise I found that dancing is including in one of the songs you’ll be listening to in tonights performance. Think of us here in the Village as dancing with you!

Safe Travels and a most Spectacular #50!

    [From the Play Wicked]

    FIYERO
    The trouble with school is
They always try to teach the wrong lesson
Believe me, I’ve been kicked out
Of enough of them to know
They want you to become less callow
    Less shallow
But I say: why invite stress in?
    Stop studying strife
And learn to live “the unexamined life”:

    Dancing through life
    Skimming the surface
    Gliding where turf is smooth
    Life’s more painless
    For the brainless
    Why think too hard?
    When it’s so soothing
    Dancing through life
    No need to tough it
When you can sluff it off as I do
    Nothing matters
    But knowing nothing matters
    It’s just life
    So keep dancing through

    Dancing through life
    Swaying and sweeping
    And always keeping cool
    Life is fraught-less
    When you’re thoughtless
    Those who don’t try
    Never look foolish
    Dancing through life
    Mindless and careless
    Make sure you’re where less
    Trouble is rife
    Woes are fleeting
    Blows are glancing
    When you’re dancing
    Through life:
(spoken) So – what’s the most swankified place in town?

    GALINDA
(spoken) That would be the Ozdust Ballroom.

    FIYERO
    (spoken) Sounds perfect.
(sung) Let’s go down to the Ozdust Ballroom
    We’ll meet there later tonight
We can dance till it’s light
    Find the prettiest girl:
    Give ‘er a whirl:
Right on down to the Ozdust Ballroom
    Come on – follow me
You’ll be happy to be there:

    ALL
    Dancing through life
    Down at the Ozdust

    FIYERO
    If only because dust
    Is what we come to:

    ALL
    Nothing matters
    But knowing nothing matters
    It’s just life

    FIYERO
    So keep dancing through:

    BOQ
(spoken) Miss Galinda – I hope you’ll save at least one
dance for me. I’ll be right there. Waiting. Allnight.

GALINDA(spoken) Oh – that’s so kind. But you know what would
    be even kinder?
(sung) See that tragic’ly beautiful girl
    The one in the chair
    It seems so unfair
We should go on a spree
    And not she
    Gee –
I know someone would be my hero
If that someone were to go invite her:

    BOQ
(spoken) Well, maybe – I could invite her!

    GALINDAOh, Bick, really?
You would do that for me?

    BOQ
(spoken) I would do anything for you, Miss Galinda:

    GALINDA
    (spoken) So:

    FIYERO
(spoken) So I’ll be picking you up around eight?

    GALINDA(spoken) After all –
(sung) Now that we’ve met one another

    FIYERO AND GALINDA
It’s clear – we deserve each other

    GALINDAYou’re perfect:

    FIYERO
    You’re perfect:

    BOTH
    So we’re perfect together
    Born to be forever
    Dancing through life:

    NESSAROSE
(spoken) Oh, Elphaba – isn’t it wonderful?
(sung) Fin’lly, for this one night
I’m about to have a fun night
    With this Munchkin boy
    Galinda found for me
And I only wish there were
Something I could do for her
    To repay her
    Elphaba, see?
    We deserve each other
And Galinda helped it come true
    We deserve each other,
    Me and Boq:
(spoken) Elphaba, please try to understand:

    ELPHABA
    I do:
(spoken) Galinda – my sister and I were talking about you
    just now-

    GALINDA
(spoken) And I was just talking about you! I thought you
might want to wear this hat to the party tonight!
(sung) It’s really, uh, sharp, don’t you think?
You know – black is this year’s pink
    You deserve each other
    This hat and you
    You’re both so smart
    You deserve each other
So here, out of the goodness of my heart:

    BOQ
    (spoken) Listen: Nessa:

    NESSAROSE
    (spoken) Yes?

    BOQ
    Uh – Nessa
I’ve got something to confess, a
    Reason why, well –
Why I asked you here tonight
Now I know it isn’t fair:

    NESSAROSE
(spoken) Oh, Boq, I know why.

    BOQ
    (spoken) You do?

    NESSAROSE
It’s because I’m in this chair
And you felt sorry for me
    Well – isn’t that right?

    BOQ
(spoken) No! No! It’s because: because:
(sung) Because you are so beautiful!

    NESSAROSE
Oh, Boq, I think you’re wonderful!
    And we deserve each other
Don’t you see, this is our chance?
    We deserve each other
    Don’t we, Boq?

    BOQ
    (spoken) You know what?
    (sung) Let’s dance:

    NESSAROSE
    (spoken) What?!

    BOQ
    Let’s dance!

    ALL
    Dancing through life
    Down at the Ozdust
    If only because dust
    Is what we come to!
    And the strange thing:
Your life could end up changing
    While you’re dancing
    Through!
