The Meaning of Judgment – Workshop

New Horizons

sunrise
As of September, 2010, I’m proposing a direction for our study of the Course, which is to work together through Ken’s workshop The Meaning of Judgment. We’ll be using his transcript notes for this taken from the Foundation’s website (see link in the tool bar at the top of the page). I chose this particular workshop because it gets immediately into the real heart and practice of the Course while taking us through its basic principles at the same time. So, for those interested in finding out where the ‘rubber hits the road’, even though it might get a little confronting at times, then join us on this little adventure Homewards!

Did this ever happen? I couldn’t seem to find comments on this CD. I have oodles of Ken’s MP3’s – since they are a bit cheaper and easy to download. But I don’t think I have this CD. It sounds like a good one and perhaps I’ll buy it along with ‘Climbing the Ladder of Prayer’ which also only comes in CD format so far. If this had already happened, will you be doing any others?

Jean the discussion on this CD transscript started at #433 in the village square page #1 first episode found in the drop down menu in the village button on the navagation bar.

Hi Pam – I went to the Village Square and saw an excerpt on ‘The Meaning of Judgment’ (I think that was the name) – and there were comments from January. Is this it? I don’t know what you mean by #443 – I couldn’t find numbers – or what you mean by the drop down menu in the village button……I didn’t see any drop down things – sometimes words can get so confusing!! <symbols of symbols…..> What are these # references…#443 and I saw another #reference in someone else’s post?

Jean,# the “pound” symbol is also used as a symbol for the word number. Next to each person’s name is a number. Your question above is #3. My answer should be (number) #4 -if no one posts in answer to you before I can hit the submit button.

A common thing to see is re.#000 The re. is short for reference. So the whole thing would read the long way – In reference to ponder number 000….

You found the current Village Square page Number 2. When a “page” gets to full, around 1,000 ponders/postings it starts to load very slowly so Bernard starts a fresh page and “archives’ the previous one and puts the link under the word Village in the Navagation bar.

At the top of each page is the navagation bar. Starting on the left side is the word- Home- then the word -Village- then -Book- and so on. These are the links to differnt places here in the village. Some are a link in and of themselves (like Village Square; only has one place to go) and others like the word Village have a list of choices that are hidden until you hold your pointer over them then a “drop down menu” shows up.

In fact the last choice in the Village dropdown is the word galleries and it is another drop down withe several more choices in it.

So just go up to the top of this (or any) page to the purple navagation bar the word village is under the picture of the tree. and have fun exploring the Village

Hope this helps and hope I didn’t get to long winded with it. Hugs

Thanks, Pam. I did understand some, so sorry you had to take so much time in helping me – but I DO appreciate your ‘willingness!!’ I didn’t understand about when the posts get full….so that was helpful – and I don’t know why I didn’t realize each post had a number…..it seemed I did look for that but didn’t see the numbers — must be my eyes fooling me…..anyway, it all makes sense now so thanks for your help and I’ll play around in the village and get a feel for it all. You did a great job explaining all those ‘intricacies!!’ :o)
    Love,
    Jean

Lovely explanation, Pam. Thanks for taking the time to do that. I’ll keep it and repost it any time we have a new comer with questions. Nicely done, so kind.

  7. Pam says:

Jean, No problem. I always find it hard to explain via writing and tend to error on the side of information overload since I sometimes don’t know exactly where the “confusion” is ,as in what they do and don’t already know. Then I worry that I might of accidentally insulted someones intelligence.

Oh well if I did it was’t intended. It’s a letting go and trusting process in and of itself for me. (-:

    Hugs & Luvs

  8. Pam says:

oh hi Bernard, You’re welcome also.

  9. Jean says:

Pam…..no – I kind of realized you were doing exactly what you just explained! No worries as they say. It just made me feel I should have explained where I was stuck so you didn’t have to do so much work!……so ‘guilt’ got both of us! That’s why I so appreciated your ‘willingness.’
    Love,
    Jean

  10. Pam says:

::smile and giggle:: yup it got us both. I appreciate your understanding.
